Medical imaging in the patient’s home
SonoCare is the Care Plus medical imaging division: medical imaging in the patient’s home by a certified team, including echocardiography with professional interpretation by a cardiologist.
Echocardiograms at home are performed with the GE Vivid iq portable ultrasound system.
Who the service may be suitable for
- Patients for whom getting to an imaging institute or clinic is difficult.
- Housebound patients, subject to the test being suitable.
- Patients whose physician has recommended an echocardiogram.
An echocardiogram and a cardiologist consultation are separate services; a cardiologist consultation at home is provided through CareConsult.
